With your booking you help to remove 1 kg of plastic from the Mediterranean.

At Fuerte Group Hotels, we continue to strengthen our commitment to sustainable tourism, the environment, and future generations. Plastic pollution in seas and oceans represents one of the most significant challenges of our time, and that is why we are joining efforts with Gravity Wave to take action.

For every reservation made by our guests at Amàre Beach Hotel Ibiza during July and August through our direct sales channels, we will be removing 1 kg of plastic from the Mediterranean seas and ports. This project is aligned with United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goal 14, where our priority is to conserve the environments where our hotel establishments are located.

Our goal at Fuerte Group Hotels is to remove more than 2 tons of plastic from the Mediterranean Sea, raise awareness about the importance of addressing plastic pollution, and promote these invaluable marine environments.

#PlasticFreeOceans

Our oceans are contaminated every year with over 12 million tons of plastic, causing significant damage to these ecosystems. One of the most harmful types of waste is fishing nets, as they take over 1,000 years to degrade and also ensnare numerous marine species.

For this reason, Fuerte Group Hotels has partnered with Gravity Wave, a social entrepreneurship project with over 5 years of history, to combat this type of pollution.

Together, with the collaboration of over 4,000 fishermen throughout the Mediterranean and with a presence in more than 35 locations in Spain, tons of waste and fishing nets are collected and deposited in special containers at ports. These materials are then recycled and transformed into sustainable furniture and decorative products over time.
